Severe weather impacted Long Island, bringing heavy rain and severe storms to the area on Thursday, August 20th.
Footage from the Atlantic Beach area showed a potential tornado/water spout hitting the area and damaging locations such as the Sun and Surf Beach Club.
The National Weather Service New York Office will be out looking at storm damage to officially verify what level of potential tornado/water spout it was.
