- A sunflower festival 🌻
Sunflowers + summer = the PERFECT summer combo! They’re in bloom for only a few weeks, usually near the end of June into July. Looking to frolic through a sunflower field this summer? I love visiting Waterdrinker Family Farm in Manorville.
- Visit a lavender farm 🪻
There’s something magical about visiting a lavender field on a warm summer day that gives me the mental reset! It may be because of the incredible scent of lavender. I’m a huge fan of visiting Lavender by the Bay!
- Picking berries on the East End 🍓
The BERRY best way to celebrate summer? Supporting the East end! As a kid, my mom would take me out east to pick my own berries. From there? We’d eat roasted corn and have fresh lemonade. Those are the memories I love to hold onto and continue each year!
Not a fan of picking your own berries? There is a strawberry festival in Mattituck every summer!
- Visit Splish Splash 🌊

They’re a ton of carnivals/ festival/ feasts across Long Island that kick off this month and continue throughout the summer. I love making plans with friends and enjoying a summer night outdoors, playing games, and going on rides.
- Visit Adventureland

A great way to enjoy summer? Hitting up Adventureland! They’ve got rides, food, and games! Did you know you could hang with us at Adventureland this summer? The 106.1 BLI street team is there every Saturday at Adventureland handing out swag!
- Hit up a street fair!
Alive After 5 in Patchogue, Alive by The Bay in Bay Shore, Farmingdale Music on Main...they’re a ton of local street fairs happening across Long Island this summer! It’s a great way to get your steps in, support local vendors, and explore downtowns you may not have visited before.

Whether you like to go fishing, sunbathe, or enjoy the water on the North Shore or South Shore, a day on a boat is a great way to get into the summer vibe!

You’re just a ferry ride away from a great day at Fire Island! Fire Island has a ton of local stores to hit up and a great beach. I’m a big fan of visiting Fire Island in the summer.
