You can pay for your next flight the same way you paid that friend back for pizza last week: JetBlue just started accepting Venmo.
Their press release says “Just Venmo Us!” . . . but you obviously can’t just shoot them the cash and add an airplane emoji.
You still have to go through the motions and choose your flight. Then there’s a new option to pay using your Venmo balance.
They’re doing it to attract more customers, presumably YOUNGER ones. Quote, “Adding Venmo offers a seamless payment option for customers who enjoy the ease and convenience of the Venmo platform.”
It’s already available through their website. They’re also adding it to their app “in the coming months.”
