Oh, Shiz. Looks like OG fans of the Broadway show, Wicked, might be super disappointed in it’s highly anticipated sequel.
Now, for any new fan, hearing there is going to be an original song added to the sequel might be super exciting, but for those of us who have been there since the early days of Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth might be skeptical to the addition. Ariana Grande confirmed, the sequel features a new Glinda song at a pivotal moment in her journey that we don’t see in the Broadway adaptation.
Now, while I’m excited to watch Glinda step more into her power through the movie, if it isn’t done right, it might end up being disappointing. The only saving grace, is this song is written by Stephen Schwartz, who was the original composer of the Wicked musical.
