A New "Star Wars" Trilogy Is in the Works

A new “Star Wars” trilogy is in the works, but this one will NOT be a continuation of the “Skywalker Saga” . . . the story that was told in episodes 1 through 9.

The trilogy will focus on a new story and new characters, but there’s no word when it takes place, or if any pre-existing characters will appear.

Several other “Star Wars” movies are in development.  If it means anything to you, this new trilogy is being developed by Simon Kinberg. . . one of the creative minds behind several of the “X-Men” movies.
