Remember last summer when Justin Timberlake was arrested on Long Island? Yeah...it was a time.

Even though Justin pleaded it would “ruin the world tour”...it certainly didn’t. In fact, it helped the Sag Harbor cop rise in ranks. According to TMZ, Michael Arkinson, the rookie cop who was responsible in arresting JT, has been awarded “Officer of the year.”

JT was arrested last summer after driving under the influence in the Hamptons. According to Associated Press, his sentence included a $500 fine with a $260 surcharge. Additionally, he had to fulfill 25 hours of community services to a nonprofit of his choosing.

What are your thoughts on the rookie cop getting this award? How do you feel about JT’s sentence? Let us know in the comments!
