Even before “The Life of a Showgirl” dropped at midnight, fans were already dissecting Taylor Swift’s lyrics, trying to find BEEF.
And a lot of folks believe they found it in a song called “Actually Romantic”. . . which allegedly takes shots at Charli XCX.
The title sounds a bit like Charli’s song “Everything Is Romantic”, and the lyrics include this: “I heard you call me ‘Boring Barbie’ when the coke’s got you brave.”
Taylor and Charli used to be pretty tight. Charli even opened for Taylor on the Reputation Tour in 2018. But they fell out when Charli started buddying up to The 1975.
She ended up marrying their drummer, George Daniel, who is, of course, bandmates with Taylor’s ex, Matty Healy.
